The HEMSA-T-019 PCI converter card, compatible with RS-485 and RS-422 standards, is capable of converting single-ended PCI signals to balanced differential signals. It features an advanced Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) designed to protect the interface from high-energy surges. Under normal conditions, the TVS tube remains in a high-resistance state. However, when subjected to an instantaneous high-energy shock, it rapidly reduces impedance to absorb large currents. This clamps the voltage at a predetermined value, protecting downstream circuit components from transient high-voltage damage.

This protector effectively suppresses lightning and ESD, providing 600W of lightning surge protection per wire, as well as surge voltages and transient over-voltages generated by various causes on the wire. Additionally, the extremely small inter-pole capacitance ensures high-speed data transmission across the RS-485/422 interface.
