The HESS-T-010 Serial Device Server—also known as a terminal or serial server—is a high-performance converter bridging asynchronous RS-232/422/485 serial ports and Ethernet. As an independent, intelligent device, it features a dedicated CPU, an embedded OS, and a comprehensive TCP/IP protocol stack.

It provides full bi-directional, transparent data transmission, enabling serial devices to connect to the network instantly without requiring any modifications to the existing system. The HESS-T-010 series supports both dynamic (DHCP) and static IP addressing, as well as gateway and proxy server configurations. It natively integrates essential protocols, including ARP, IP, TCP, HTTP, ICMP, sockets, UDP, and Modbus.
