The HESC-T-031 is an optically isolated RS-485/422 repeater designed to extend communication distances and increase the node capacity of RS-485/422 bus networks. Its built-in optical isolator and DC/DC isolation module provide up to 2.5 kVrms of isolation. The interface features advanced TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes at both ends, providing 600 W of surge and lightning protection for each RS-485/422 wire.

The device features zero-delay automatic transceiver switching. Its unique I/O circuit automatically manages data direction without the need for handshake signals (such as RTS or DTR). This jumper-free design allows for seamless switching between full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) modes, ensuring true plug-and-play compatibility.

The HESC-T-031 provides reliable connectivity for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations. In multipoint mode, this repeater extends the network to support up to 128 RS-485/422 devices.
