The HEUS-T-029 is a universal USB to RS-485/422 converter that operates without an external power supply. Fully compatible with USB, RS-422, and RS-485 standards, it converts single-ended USB signals into balanced differential RS-422 or RS-485 signals. The device features integrated surge protection for each wire, while low inter-pole capacitance ensures high-speed data transmission. Both RS-422 and RS-485 ports are accessible via a DB9 male connector.

Equipped with zero-delay automatic switching, the converter’s unique I/O circuit manages data flow direction without the need for handshake signals (such as RTS or DTR). It also eliminates the need for jumper settings when switching between full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) modes, ensuring seamless compatibility with all existing communication software and hardware.

The HEUS-T-029 provides reliable point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connectivity. In point-to-multipoint mode, a single converter can support up to 32 RS-422 or RS-485 devices. It supports data rates from 300 bps to 921.6 kbps and includes dedicated LED indicators for power and data flow to simplify troubleshooting.
