The HESC-T-021 is an industrial-grade port-powered RS-232 to RS-485/422 Converter. It is engineered to seamlessly convert single-ended RS-232 signals into balanced differential RS-422 or RS-485 signals. Featuring built-in optical isolation, the device provides up to 2,500 Vrms of isolation voltage to protect your sensitive equipment from ground loops and electrical transients.

Equipped with cutting-edge Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS), the HESC-T-021 is purpose-built to safeguard RS-422/485 interfaces. It effectively suppresses lightning strikes and ESD, providing 600W of lightning surge protection per wire, along with protection against surge voltages and transient overvoltages. Furthermore, its ultra-low inter-electrode capacitance ensures high-speed data transmission without signal degradation.

The HESC-T-021 features integrated zero-delay automatic transceiver switching. Its proprietary I/O circuitry automatically manages data flow direction without the need for hardware handshaking signals (such as RTS or DTR). This allows for seamless plug-and-play conversion between full-duplex (RS-422) and half-duplex (RS-485) modes without any manual jumper settings. The device ensures universal compatibility with all existing communication software and hardware, requiring zero software modifications to your legacy RS-232 workflows.
